She Just Wanted To Honor Her Mom's Legacy. Three Years Later, Author Kinyatta E. Gray is Nominated for Her First B.A.R. Arts Collective & Black Authors Rock Literary Award

Author Kinyatta E. Gray never dreamed of becoming a published author and never considered herself a writer. Instead, Gray was an avid reader growing up, encouraged mainly by her mother, an avid reader, writer, playwright.

In 2018, Kinyatta's mom, a single parent, passed away suddenly. Kinyatta made a vow to honor her mom's legacy forever. Kinyatta was determined and passionate about finding ways to keep her mother's memory alive in the hearts and minds of those that loved her and embarked on becoming a writer.

A year later, Gray wrote and released her first book titled: " 30 Days: Surviving the Trauma and Loss of Single Parent as an Only Child" to honor her mother's legacy. Gray continued writing, and between 2019 and 2021, she released four more books.

In 2021 Kinyatta founded the Stylish Writing Center. The Stylish Writing Center is a collection of over ten published guided journals and diaries written and released by Kinyatta Gray.

Gray continues to be a powerful force and shining example of a grieving daughter's undying love and loyalty to her beloved mother, Beverly E. Carroll.

Kinyatta was nominated for her first literary award by fellow, high-profile author and entrepreneur Precious Williams, founder of https://www.perfectpitchesbyprecious.com/ . You can find Williams featured in the Wall Street journal and training others at fortune 500 companies like Google, Microsoft, and Black Enterprise.

When Gray was asked how it felt to be nominated by Williams, Gray stated: " The win is in the nomination itself. I can't believe that someone of Precious Williams caliber thought enough of me and my ambition and drive to mention my name when there was an opportunity in the room. Precious is the example of the kind of person and energy that everyone would be fortunate to have in their circle."
