Author. Founder. Designer. Grief Educator. Remarkable Women 2023.

Some women are defined by one thing. Kinyatta E. Gray is defined by everything she refused to stop building.

Kinyatta E. Gray is a 2023 Remarkable Women Award winner, bestselling author, Certified Master Life Coach, grief educator, brand founder, and creative entrepreneur whose work spans healing, luxury lifestyle, literary arts, and wearable design.

After losing her mother — the late Beverly E. Carroll, affectionately known as Miss Bee — in 2018, Kinyatta channeled her grief into one of the most prolific creative journeys in independent entrepreneurship. What began as a memoir written to honor her mother's dream of becoming a published author has grown into a full ecosystem of brands, products, and platforms that have reached women across the world.

She is the founder of Honoring Miss Bee a grief healing brand offering soft life ritual products, affirmation tools, and greeting cards created specifically for women navigating mother loss and the beautiful, complicated work of becoming. She is the creator of FlightsInStilettos® a trademarked award-winning luxury travel lifestyle brand whose Glam Girl Travel Canvases have been spotted in Spain, Dubai, Egypt, and Thailand, and featured in Travel Noire, Fashion Bomb Daily, Hollywood Unlocked, Sheen Magazine, and more. She is a published author of multiple titles including her bestselling grief memoir 30 Days. And she is a designer whose creative vision extends into footwear and accessories that carry the same bold, inclusive, unapologetic aesthetic that defines everything she touches.

Kinyatta's work has been featured in over a dozen national and international publications. She has built communities, dissolved a nonprofit with grace, launched products from grief, and created a character named Boss who drives a yellow Miss Bee Mobile and sprinkles healing on everyone she meets.

Some losses cannot be written about. They have to be sung.

Kinyatta records and releases original music under the moniker Music In Stilettos, a collection of songs written from the most intimate places of her grief journey, created exclusively for daughters navigating life after mother loss.

Her catalog includes Mama's Girl — the official theme song of Honoring Miss Bee — as well as Mama I'm Outside, Mothering Myself, The Holidays Still Hold Me, Her Name Was Miss Bee, and Ain't No Hurt That Heaven Didn't Heal, among others. Each song is a letter to Miss Bee. Each one says something that prose alone could not carry.

Her music has found its way organically into the grief community — used by women across TikTok in videos honoring their own mothers, claimed by strangers who heard something in the melody that felt like their own story being told back to them.

Because that is what Miss Bee's daughter makes. Things that feel personal to everyone who encounters them.

Music In Stilettos is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and all major streaming platforms. Listen. Then share it with a daughter who needs to hear it.

She does all of this solo. With intention. In honor of Miss Bee.

Welcome to her world.
